This year marks the 37th season of La Costa 35 Athletic Club summer softball. There are currently over 250 members participating in our summer and winter softball leagues as well as our flag football leagues each year.
In addition to our sports leagues, LC35 hosts many additional activities throughout the year for players and their families. Some of these events include a July 4th “home state” themed softball tournament, which includes a family BBQ and home run derby; our annual “Swing With Your Heart” charity tournament, which benefits a deserving member of the league or a family member who may be suffering from medical issues or tragedy; numerous golf outings to local courses as well as Palm Springs and Bajamar; pick-up games on holidays; OTL tournament; and a charity poker tournament benefiting the Boys & Girls Club of Carlsbad.
About the Softball Season
LC35 summer softball runs from March through August with games played on Sundays at Stagecoach Park in La Costa. Games last 9 innings with an hour and a half time limit. The first game starts at 9:00 am and the last game at 4:30 pm. We encourage players to bring the whole family out on any given Sunday, where you’ll see kids at play, families socializing and a great group of members enjoying friendly competition, great weather, and good food.
Who Can Play in LC35?
New membership in La Costa 35 Athletic Club is limited to men, 35 years of age or older, who reside or own a business, in Carlsbad, CA. There are two softball leagues: Hotel California is 35+ and Elvis is 51+. You can play in both leagues if you meet the age requirements.
How Much Does it Cost?
If you’re a new member who is signing up for only one league, your registration cost will be $140.00. Signing up for both leagues costs $220.00.
Each league costs $80.00, Annual Dues are $35.00 and new members are assessed a $25.00 initiation fee.
