Rachel Wright, the La Costa Canyon High School softball coach, was thrown a curve ball the day after Easter. A brain tumor rocked her world and knocked her down, but not out. See the article by LC35 member, sportswriter and author Jay Paris about Rachel and how LC35 reached out to her to help.  If you want to donate to help Rachel, Encinitas’ St. Mark Lutheran Church is accepting contributions at http://www.stmarkchurch.net.

Some of you know John Champ had a son, Conner who lost his life to cancer several years ago. A foundation, Conner’s Cause for Children was formed before his passing to help families that have a child with a life threatening illness. They have since helped several thousand families in San Diego County.

They have an upcoming golf tourney at Shadowridge Golf Club on Monday September 9, 2019. Remember the charitable donation tax savings makes this a great value for a special day of golf. If you can’t come for golf or dinner please consider making a contribution to help a great cause.
